New study on the genetics of familial Alzheimer’s disease in African Americans

On January 15, 2016, members from the John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics, led by Dr. Pericak-Vance, Ph.D., met with Dr. Goldie Byrd, Ph.D., and her research team, at the COAACH (Center for Outreach in Alzheimer’s, Aging and Community Health) at NC A&T University. The meeting kicks off the start of a new study on the genetics of familial Alzheimer’s disease in African Americans, which adds a new dimension to the successful collaboration of over 15 years between Drs.
