JJ Vance

“He touched so many peoples’ lives by just talking to them and saying hey. It amazed me that something so little could mean so much to someone. From JJ I learned to champion the rights of others, to stand up for my beliefs even if they are not the popular ones.” – Danica D. Vance

This website and research project are part of the legacy of a kind, compassionate and intelligent 14-year-old boy named Jeffery Joseph (JJ) Vance who was stricken with Thrombotic Storm and subsequently died on December 12, 1998. His shocking passing immensely affected his family and all who knew him. For the boy who was willing and able to befriend those who needed it most, we honor him by promoting awareness and research of Thrombotic Storm so that others may not suffer the same fate.
